Well what a night Tuesday was!  I am a great believer that events only go well with great preparation and planning (cf GCR, KFRWT and All American) and the Pride of Workmanship event on Tuesday was no exception.  Thanks to the excellent work by Sangeeta and her team (supported I know by Aneesh), I believe that the evening was a tremendous success.  Not only were we able to provide a fantastic platform for local businesses to recognise their staff and network, but it enabled The Paradise to showcase what it can do and we also did a fantastic job of showing off Rotary in a very positive light with our DG present.  Russell was kind enough to send me a follow up email and here is an extract from it:

“It was a privilege to witness a Club that really “gets it” – that Rotary needs to engage with the community at many levels, demonstrate a sense of fun, to really impact lives, and to market our organisation, not in a hard sell, but through messages that may inspire people to join us in our work.

You are one of our District’s “high powered Clubs” and I am sure that you are really proud of your team.”

Yes I am and thank you to all our Club members for helping to make the evening such a success as I saw plenty of you engaging with guests at your tables further underpinning the sociability of our Club.”

Our meeting this Tuesday is Club Assembly, so looking forward to getting an update from the Chairs.

Yours in Rotary,
President Ian Ash
