- Synchrotron site across road from the Heart Hospital and near Monash Uni
- National facility quite a large Monash affiliation
- Electronic accelerator providing shifts of times and have the facility for 24 hours
- Over 50 synchrotrons around the world
- Hedron ??Collider is bigger than Synchrotron - electron at nearly the speed of light acceleration around in in the space – want synchrotron radiation from the particles
- Hedron is a protron collision
- They release high energy radiation – used to conduct experiments at the end stations
- Xrays and infrared end stations
- Researchers work at the end stations to conduct their experiments
- Generating infrared to high energy x-rays
- Light is special as it is brilliant wide range of energies images are clearer and with more detail data can be collected quickly

- Peter’s club had visited 19 clubs
- Ken and Peter proud of the 20 clubs that are part of the rewards program
- Many of the smaller clubs are undertaking projects
- Sample hoodies to try on this evening
- Take a picture in our hoodies – challenge – want us to write a reward song and sing through some of the rewards in our hoodies

Puffing Billy Sausage Sizzle – Train of Lights – PHF John Henderson
- Train of lights 23 June to 9 July – 17 nights
- Lakeside to Gembrook
- Invited us to do a sausage sizzle every night
- 17 nights - 6 people each night required
- Get to Gembrook 6.45 then head back to lakeside
- 240 people on the train each night
- 20 members to commit to 5 nights sending around a sheet to see who can volunteer for that amount
PP PHF Ian Ash - Pride of Workmanship – 28th March - Reminder
- 13 awards to be given out on the night and looking forward to a great event with 91 attendees.
PP PHF John Shaw – Ride for Australian Rotary Health
- 590 kms for Australian Rotary Health – in the Bendigo area
- Started training earlier than usual as it is a distance!!
