Hey there, awesome Rotarians!

Who's ready to kick off this message with a burst of energy?

Hope you've all been rocking this week like the stars you are!

Last week's gathering was like a dynamo of excitement, with your radiant smiles lighting up the place!

Hold onto your hats because here's the scoop:

PVH is throwing a shindig on Tuesday, the 22nd, and they're rolling out the "Sorry, can't fit ya in" carpet. But hey, no need to sweat it! We're shifting the party to the Emerald RSL for this Tuesday's fiesta. And guess what's on the menu? PIZZA! 🍕 Oh yes, you heard it right. And guess who's on board to keep the fun flowing? None other than the superstar of the RSL club, Peter Maloney, keeping the drinks flowing like a river of happiness.

Give it up for Peter and Gabby, the fabulous hosts who've got our backs and our bellies!

But hold the phone because there's more excitement coming your way. Brace yourselves because the Belgrave Club is zooming over to join the fun! We're all about spreading our club's infectious enthusiasm with our pals from the next block.

Drumroll, please... introducing our Tuesday star, Kerryn Mayne! 📚🌟 This literary sensation has penned the gripping masterpiece "Lenny Marks Gets Away with Murder." Picture this: a tale that's a rollercoaster ride through Belgrave and Selby, hitting bookshelves like a literary supernova on 21/2/23. It's all about Lenny's wild adventures after a mind-boggling event at age 11.

Hold onto your hats, because Kerryn Mayne, a former police officer turned wordsmith extraordinaire, is bringing the fire with this spellbinding narrative. She's breaking free from her cop life to shower us with positivity and awesomeness.

Can you feel the excitement building? Because I sure can!

Stay cozy, stay toasty, and stay as cool as ice, dear Rotarians.

President Sangeeta

!
Bec was named ‘Citizen of the Year’, in recognition of her work establishing the first Lilydale Street Fair on during the Yarra Ranges Australia Day Awards Presentations on January 26th 2023

Bec first approached Lilydale Township Action Group (LTAG) in early 2021 with the idea of a ‘Street Fair’ however with COVID 19 restrictions in place the idea was shelved. For information abut what was involved Bec contacted the Rotary Club of Lilydale and they their advice was invaluable.

Not deterred, Bec made it happen!  The Street Fair became a reality and on 3rd of December 2022 the Fair brought together over 60 market stalls, local schools, scouts, together with roaming entertainment and thousands of people to the Main Street of Lilydale.  Bec stated that she learnt a lot from putting the Fair together and this year’s event she has the help of a Committee behind her.

Bec stated she was humbled to be awarded the Citizen of the Year as she was amongst so many aspiring people.
