How good it was to see Norm back again and for us to be able to thank him for his 16 year contribution to Rotary. I hope and believe he appreciated it.
Tuesday’s meeting was one of surprises: we launched the new “Rotary Anniversary” segment and advised the Club that Kerry had been a Rotarian since 1/1189 and Don Borg since 1/11/90; Ian W unveiled a brand new, slick-looking Rotary A-Frame and I discovered that it is Kris’ birthday next Tuesday. In honour of Kris’ birthday (or is it the Melbourne Cup?), there will be no meeting next Tuesday (6/11) but normal service will resume on 13/11 when Dr Paul Wood from Monash Children’s Hospital will come to talk to us about the value of the KFRWT cash. There will also be a Board Meeting that evening, so Board members: please ensure that you have your reports ready.
Yours in Rotary, Ian
President Ian Ash
Last Week's Meeting
Farewell to Norm Mauger who had been a member of the club for 16 years or so. Norm had been a staunch member of the club in that time taking part in many of our activities and heading up the Kids Fun Run With Thomas Committee on one occasion. We wish Norm well as he heads into full retirement on 8th November to spend time with the family. Of course, we look forward to seeing him at the All American next year and to having him come to the odd meeting when time allows.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOM FOR THE 7TH NOVEMBER.
Please note, if your birthday in Club Runner doesn't have the year then the birthday (or anniversary) will not show in Sparkle. Can you either go into your profile and update this or email Aneesh and he will add it for you. Sorry Tom, as you are not online, this was omitted but we hope you had a wonderful day.
