The President's Judgement

Hi all

The last week has seen us all out and about in the community. 

On Wednesday night:

- I was privileged to be able to present citizenship awards at the Emerald Secondary College valedictory night to two year 12 students and talk about the wonderful partnership our Club has now with the secondary school community. I feel the presentation was well received, especially as a number of my football players (and their families) that I have coached over the years were there heckling too!
- Gloria’s team attended the Primary School Speech Contest finals - a very entertaining and successful evening.
- Many of our members joined our Cluster clubs at Ginfinity enjoying gin, rum and fellowship. If someone remembers what happened they can tell us all about it Tuesday night!

Friday night brought out the artistic juices of our Club’s members and friends at the Brushstrokes and Bubbles event held with the Emerald Art Society. Despite Handsome Pants Andrew not being the live model as some apparently expected, it was a roaring success!!!  Well done Kelly. 

Thank you to all of those that have been selling raffle tickets at Woolies over the last couple of Sundays too. 

This Tuesday is our Club’s AGM. Have we found a President for the 24/25 year? Of course we have! So ask yourself: will the President be uncapped, be a second or even third time rounder, or be a surprise announcement that YOU were not aware of as in fact it is YOU who has been selected? All will be revealed soon …

Primary School Speech Competition

Fabulous night at the Grand Final 2022. Primary Schools Speech Contest...... and Tom Ferrier from Macclesfield Primary came Third😊😊 we also had Poppy Sanderson from Selby PS competing, and she did a wonderful speech as well.
 
Gloria Vicki and Lyn really enjoyed tea, followed by the competition. The event was held at the Manningham Hotel and Club, and we had12 competing from various schools in the region.
 
 
 
 

Brushstrokes and Bubbles was a great success on Friday night :)
