It is a pity that there were so few members able to make last week’s meeting at the Waterman Centre as the event was very well coordinated by Marcus and Aneesh was his usual entertaining self, guiding us effortlessly around the new website. If you have not yet had a chance to check it out, please do so as the site is very easy to navigate and there is a wealth of useful information on there. Please also check out your personal details to check they are correct and don‘t be afraid to ask for help as we know that this new to many of us.
For those of us that carried on to watch Bohemian Rhapsody, we all enjoyed the film and it is worth checking this out too if you haven’t seen it.
All being well, by my calculations there should be ~55 people at our Christmas function which will feature a carvery and a few special guest appearances. I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday!
Kris and I also look forward to welcoming you to the Burnt Chop on 15 January and if you haven't had a chance to RSVP, then please let Kris know if you are coming and how many will be attending.
As this is the final Sparkle before Christmas and some members may not be able to attend the Christmas break-up, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a safe and happy Festive Season.

Christmas cheer at the glades
Thank you so much to all the people who helped make this event such great success - from wrapping presents, to coming along on the day to listen to the wonderful voices of the Emerald Primary School and to see the faces of the residents of The Glades as they listened to the children singing and then receive their gifts from fabulous Father Christmas.
It was a great first for the Rotary Club of Emerald and District - the kids had fun, the residents had fun and the Rotarians reaffirmed why we do what we do.
I might add this was a great initiative by incoming President PHF Catherine Elfick.
