So now the ‘Cocktails on the Catwalk’ event has been and gone and by all reckonings was a tremendous success, so well done once again to Kris and her amazing committee, Shalini, Gayle, Vicki, David and Susi plus Kelly and her fantastic food and to everyone else in the Club that helped out on the night.  My mother-in-law is still talking about it (in between her heart medications), everyone I have spoken to says how much they enjoyed it and we ended up pulling in over $3000 extra for the Club, what a result!  It was great for us all to bask in a bit of self-reflected glory on Tuesday as it would have given Ros Weadman (whose application for membership is under consideration) a very clear view of how we are uniquely well positioned to give back to the local community but still at the same time have a great deal of fun doing this.  I would also like to acknowledge and appreciate Shalini was not able to present for all the fun and frivolity at this week’s meeting as she is doing a sterling job coordinating the Deb Ball.  We also missed Gayle who was helping with the Deb Ball practices.

 

I have just sent out an email to the Board members requesting their input for the Annual Report which I am hoping to have compiled around mid-June and it will be interesting to get their perspective on how things have gone in their respective areas over the past year or so.

 

On Tuesday Caroline Nichols will be introducing us to "Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture, explained in a traditional and modern way” although she is unlikely to get to us much before 7.30pm so don’t worry if she is not there at the start.
