Hey Team!

Good vibes all around! I hope your week was as fantastic as mine. Let me share the energy with you!

Last Saturday was a blast in Emerald! Our club members joined forces with EDRA for the Christmas Candles construction in Emerald Gembrook and Cockatoo at the early hour of 8.30 am. Big shout-out to everyone who rolled up their sleeves for some hard work, a bit of fun, and loads of laughter. And of course, fines are on the horizon, I'm sure! Thanks, PP Emma, for making the morning so lively!

After that, it was all about the Bumper Christmas raffle sales. Big thanks to PE Kelly’s handsome pants Andrew for setting up and packing up the booth for Tina and me. We'll be back at it again this Saturday at the same place and time (10.30 am). Hope to see familiar faces around town!

Thursday morning was pure magic. PP John Shaw, PP Kris Ash, John Henderson, and I welcomed two beautiful families from Monash Children's Hospital at the Puff & Billy platform in Emerald Lakeside Centre. Such an amazing time with brave and adorable kids – hearing their stories left me humbled and blessed. Massive thanks to Shalini, Kris, Puff & Billy, and the Monash Children’s Hospital Team for making this day unforgettable.

Thursday night was an epic show bag packing session – we set a record by doing it in an hour! Teamwork at its finest! Special thanks to Amber and Adam for volunteering their time. We're grateful and can't wait to see you at future events.

Get ready, team! This weekend is going to be epic! I'm thrilled to spend Sunday with each and every one of you. Thanks not only for Sunday but for everything leading up to it – from planning and advertising to school visits and monthly meetings.

Here's a little something to ponder: "You measure my life in hours, and I serve you by expiring. I’m quick when I’m thin and slow when I’m fat. The wind is my enemy." Drop your guesses via email or text for a chance to win a prize!

Until we meet again, keep rocking your kindness. You all bring the sunshine to our club!

President Sangeeta

Monash Cancer Centre - Ambassador Ride on Puffing Billy

Oscar Morris – aged 3 and his family and Dominiko Gutierrez (goes by Iko) - aged 2 and his family attended the ride on Thursday.  Unfortunately, little Bodhi Watts aged 4 and his family could not attend due to ongoing treatments.

When those of us there heard the stories of the families, and the sad news that Iko's cancer has caused blindness there was a real conviction that the cause - raising fund for childhood cancer research is pressing and real - we need to beat this!  So best foot forward everyone to make it a huge fundraising effort :)

Below are some images from the morning with John Henderson and Pres. Sangeeta in front of the cameras.  The segment on the Channel 9 News last night was terrific and hopefully gave the KFRWPB as well as the cause a good boost.

A big shout out to Bronwyn and the PR team at Monash Children's Hospital for securing Channel 9 and to Emma and Sheena at Puffing Billy Railways for their work in boosting awareness through social and providing an excellent Media Announcement (which may bring more coverage tomorrow) and organising the wonderful day out for the families.

The Star News Group will be there and supporting us as they often do.
