Greetings, Rotary members, and esteemed individuals,

I trust this message finds you well on this day of solemn reflection and gratitude. As we gather under the gentle caress of the sun's rays, may our hearts be warmed by the enduring spirit of Remembrance Day.

On the 11th hour of the 11th day in the 11th month, let us bow our heads in a minute's silence, a poignant tribute to the courageous soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in defence of our nation.

This morning, at 10:30 am, several members of our club and I will assemble at Anzac Place to partake in the Remembrance Day service. Following this solemn occasion, we have been graciously invited to the Emerald RSL for a moment of reflection and refreshments.

As the year draws to a close, our club is abuzz with activity. I wish to provide you with a brief update.

Dedicated members of our club have undertaken the noble task of selling tickets for the Bumper Christmas Raffle in the coming weeks. Your willingness to volunteer your weekends is greatly appreciated.

And what a joy it is to declare, it's Saturday market day! I have heard whispers of special guests gracing the event. Our Past President, Catherine, and her diligent market team tirelessly work behind the scenes to ensure the market's success. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the team for their tireless efforts.

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, the 14th of November, as our club assembly beckons. Our AOS chairs eagerly await the opportunity to share their upcoming events and projects with you.

Allow me to introduce our cherished senior, Dorothy Amor, who, if granted the chance to revisit any age, would choose her vibrant 40s. During that time, she was an active participant in ten-pin bowling at a local club, even dabbling in basketball. Nowadays, she prefers the comfort of her room, engrossed in watching "The Block.”

Our meeting will be graced by one of our newer club members, Sid Umesh, who will unveil his intriguing BTB. We look forward to uncovering the unique facets of Sid's personality.

A pertinent message from Past President Vicki has been shared regarding the meeting dates and times of the Belgrave Rotary Club. I earnestly encourage our members to show support by attending their meetings. Kindly respond to Vicki promptly.

To stimulate your minds, here's a riddle: "I am always hungry, I must always be fed, the finger I touch will soon turn red. What am I?”

In the spirit of Rotary, let us continue to spread goodwill and camaraderie to one and all. Until we convene again, take care, and may you be blessed with inner peace. πŸŒΊπŸ•ŠοΈ

Lest we forget.

President Sangeeta
