**Conference Bendigo 2025**
A huge thank you to everyone who attended the conference in Bendigo! It was a truly wonderful event that showcased the incredible impact of our collective efforts.
We were inspired by exceptional speakers and heartened by stories of remarkable individuals around the world who, like each of you, are dedicated to making our world a better place.

The Gala dinner was a highlight, but I must say, the pre-party at Toni-Anne, Bryan and Carol's Airbnb was an unforgettable experience! Thank you for generously hosting us and allowing us to get ready, sing, and enjoy some lively banter before the dinner.

Special thanks to Gayle and Lyn for their incredible work on our KISS costumes – you both are genius designers! And to Chris Barrot, your creation of the epic motorcycle sidecar vehicle was the perfect touch for my arrival as the President of the KISS Army!

We received and email from Leanne Jaggs who is RI Strategic Planning Committee 2022-2026 and husband Mike:

“I just wanted to send you & the team a HUGE thanks for having both Mike & I again as part of the RC Emerald family. We had a ball, as we knew we would.........so have decided that we are now your lucky charms....lol...... Huge congratulations, all jokes aside, on winning the best dressed. This was never not going to happen (in my eyes) as honestly everyone looked incredible & the fun was seem by all as we all entered. My cheeks are still sore from laughing so much.

Please thank the whole team & club for including us. You are like a twin club to mine in soooooooo many ways. Crazy, but so loveable.....lol.....”
It was an unforgettable weekend, and I'm so grateful to be part of this community.

**News from ESC**

We're eager to explore ways to support the college and contribute to making it an even better place for students, staff, and the community. Thank you again, James, for sharing your insights and passion with us!

**Expo Sunday March 30**
A big thank you to Ken, Tina, Gloria, Chris, and Sue for representing our club at the Community Expo on Sunday! Your efforts in flying the flag for our club are truly appreciated. We're grateful for your time and dedication in promoting our club's values and mission.
Thank you again for your commitment and enthusiasm!

James first year out of training was in Echuca and first class was “Living skills” for which there was no curriculum just 7 dinosaur books and colouring pencils. Six months later and a class performance of Romeo & Juliet he learnt lessons in relationships and how to connect with young people.  Prior to taking the role as Principal at Emerald SC in 2022 he was Assistant Principle at Ringwood College.
Schooling has changed in so many ways.  Kids can leave sooner these days and obtain labouring jobs. With AI now available methods of teaching has had to change.  They strive to know all their students and are obtaining good results and rate well against other school’s results.

Email Received from Naomi Dewar - Echo Jitterbugs Playgroup

Dear Tina and Members of the Emerald Rotary,

On behalf of Jitterbugs Playgroup (Gembrook), I want to express our sincere gratitude for your generous donation of $1,500. Your support means the world to us and will make a significant difference in the experiences we can provide for the children and families in our community.

Thanks to your generosity, we will be able to fund craft and other activities for the entire year, allowing the children to explore their creativity, develop new skills, and enjoy meaningful play experiences. These activities are an essential part of our playgroup, fostering imagination, fine motor development, and social connections in a fun and engaging environment.

Your commitment to supporting local initiatives like ours truly strengthens our community. We deeply appreciate the kindness and generosity of the Emerald Rotarians and are grateful to have you as a partner in enriching the lives of young children.

Please know that your contribution will bring joy to many little hands and hearts throughout the year. We would love to invite you to visit our playgroup so you can see firsthand the impact of your donation.

Once again, thank you for your invaluable support. We truly appreciate all that you do.

With heartfelt appreciation,
