James first year out of training was in Echuca and first class was “Living skills” for which there was no curriculum just 7 dinosaur books and colouring pencils. Six months later and a class performance of Romeo & Juliet he learnt lessons in relationships and how to connect with young people. Prior to taking the role as Principal at Emerald SC in 2022 he was Assistant Principle at Ringwood College.
Schooling has changed in so many ways. Kids can leave sooner these days and obtain labouring jobs. With AI now available methods of teaching has had to change. They strive to know all their students and are obtaining good results and rate well against other school’s results.

Dear Tina and Members of the Emerald Rotary,
On behalf of Jitterbugs Playgroup (Gembrook), I want to express our sincere gratitude for your generous donation of $1,500. Your support means the world to us and will make a significant difference in the experiences we can provide for the children and families in our community.
Thanks to your generosity, we will be able to fund craft and other activities for the entire year, allowing the children to explore their creativity, develop new skills, and enjoy meaningful play experiences. These activities are an essential part of our playgroup, fostering imagination, fine motor development, and social connections in a fun and engaging environment.
Your commitment to supporting local initiatives like ours truly strengthens our community. We deeply appreciate the kindness and generosity of the Emerald Rotarians and are grateful to have you as a partner in enriching the lives of young children.
Please know that your contribution will bring joy to many little hands and hearts throughout the year. We would love to invite you to visit our playgroup so you can see firsthand the impact of your donation.
Once again, thank you for your invaluable support. We truly appreciate all that you do.
With heartfelt appreciation,
