We’re looking forward to a super Sunday as I write this...shiny cars and smiling faces!  Let’s just hope the rain stays away - we’ve certainly had enough today (Friday) to keep us going for quite awhile!!!
The All American Car Show is on this Sunday so hopefully you’ve told all your family and friends, shared it on Facebook, sent it in smoke signals or any other way to get the word out.  In our different location this year, we’ll be able to accommodate more cars, so here’s hoping for a great day!!

A little snippet for us all from the rotary.org website

“WORLD UNDERSTANDING MONTH
The month of February is very special in the Rotary calendar since it is designated World Understanding Month. The month also includes the anniversary of the first meeting of Rotary held on February 23, 1905, now designated World Understanding and Peace Day.

World Understanding Month is a chance for every club to pause, plan and promote the Fourth Avenue of Service-Rotary's continued quest for goodwill, peace and understanding among people of the world.”

As Russell Marnock reported on Tuesday night, on behalf of the International Committee, we have a global grant in motion for an international project for a 4-Cubicle Toilet Block & Rain Water Tank in Balibo, Timor Leste.  Perfect timing to celebrate World Understanding Month.

Thank you to Peter Hadwen & Russell Marnock for their inspiration and perseverance in making this a reality.  Now onto the next project!! 😃

Ken Miller is working hard to organise the 40th Anniversary Celebrations for our Club.  The date and venue 3rd May, Yarra Ranges Estate Wintery) are locked in, now it’s the nitty gritty to make it happen.  If anyone would like to help, please let Ken know.  It’s shaping up to be a fab celebration of everything that makes our Club great!

This week’s conundrum involves Romeo & Juliet.  They were found dead, in a puddle of water, surrounded by broken glass.  How did they die?

And on that one, I bid you all adieu.  See you Sunday in your Rotary Finery!!

See you round like a Rotary Wheel!!
