Our fundraising team has had an inspiring and impactful year, organising events that not only brought our
community together but also raised significant funds to support local initiatives. Below is a summary of
our key fundraising activities and their outcomes:
Cake Decorating with Bubbles – January 2025
We kicked off the year with a delightful Cake Decorating with Bubbles event, attracting over 40 guests.
Under the expert guidance of Jayne from Funky Cakes, participants learned the art of cake icing in a fun
and engaging environment. The event was a resounding success, fostering community spirit and raising
approximately $1,500, which was reinvested into local community projects.
Bunnings BBQ – Boxing Day 2024
Despite challenging weather conditions on Boxing Day, our dedicated fundraising team persevered,
ensuring the BBQ went ahead. Their resilience and positive attitude turned a potentially di icult situation
into a successful fundraiser, raising $1,000. These funds were subsequently donated back to support
community initiatives.
Train of Lights – July 2024
We supported the Train of Lights at Puffing Billy Gembrook Station for 3 weeks at the start of the year which was a great fundraiser for the club raising $12,578.40 – thank you to all club members for rostering on to support superb effort!!
Trivia Night – February 2025
Our team was excited to announce the upcoming Trivia Night which was in February 2025. This event was
the highlight of our fundraising calendar, featuring 19 silent auction items and engaging games to
encourage participation with 150 people attending the event. Proceeds from the night has supported our
Rotary club's community projects and contribute to the dementia café initiative, reflecting our
commitment to addressing local health and social needs.
Sip & Paint – June 2025
Fundraising team is working hard on the last fundraiser for the year. Only 50 seats available to come and
enjoy a delightful evening with our very own Rotarian Anna. There will be finger food, few sips / shots and
lots of laugher and fun to be had on the night. We are hoping to raise around $2,000 which again will be
put back into our local community.
Through these events, our Rotary club has demonstrated unwavering dedication to service and
community engagement. The funds raised have made a tangible difference, and we look forward to
continuing our mission in the coming year.
