Highlights 2025-2026
Our club fundraises in many ways. We have our signature projects, The Gembrook Classic & Custom Car Show and the Debutante Ball, that provide a significant share of our required fundraising, which is then topped up by the amazing work of our Fundraising Committee.
This year, we have started with the FY2025/26 Train of Lights event, which enabled our club to achieve its budget for the year. Unfortunately, due to changes in how Puffing Billy manages the Train of Lights event, our participation in the FY2026/27 event has ceased. We will be looking to restart our involvement with the event in 2027.
June & July 2026 - Train of Lights Sausage Sizzle Wrap-Up
What a season! Emerald Rotary had the honour of running the sausage sizzle for the Puffing Billy’s Train of Lights across 18 big nights.
A huge effort from our club community: 36 members plus 8 partners/children, serving up 3,397 sausages and 110kg of onions!
On top of that, we achieved total sales of $13,585 and an awesome profit of $9,490—thank you for helping us make a real difference.
There was plenty of laughter (and a little friendly competition) along the way; photos, tallies, and nightly bragging rights. From some freezing cold and wet nights to the milder evenings, it was fantastic to see the teamwork in action as everyone stepped in for set-up, cooking, serving, and pack-down.
Thank you to Puffing Billy and everyone who stopped by for a snag—your support helps Emerald Rotary continue backing local projects across our community.
